Dedicated Rackspace is a cost effective alternative to server colocation either where clients need to host multiple servers or when 24x7 unescorted and unrestricted access to their equipment is a necessity. RackSRV can accommodate rack space clients within our network at Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne.

Below are a few example rackspace packages that you can tailor to your specific power and bandwidth requirements. We can supply up to 4 amps of UPS protected power per quarter rack i.e. a full rack has a maximum supply limit of 16amps – far greater than London facilities!

Power &

Unlike inner London Data Centres, RackSRV are able to provision up to 32amps UPS protected power per 47U rack (32amps over 2x PDU) in our SOTA facility with adequate cooling capacity to cope with this load. Additional power is available in 4amp blocks at £120 per block per month.

Included as standard with rack pricing we include 1x 5 way 1U horizontal PDU (mains plug style) with digital power readout capable of 16amps draw. We can also provide optional APC 1U horizontal 8 way remote power reboot bars (female IEC style) for an additional monthly fee.

As a value added service, we bundle all rack packages with 1Mbit of static internet transit fed from a single 100Mbit Cat-5e feed. Whilst removing this transit from your rackspace will not reduce the package cost, we can add additional transit at a competative rate of £15 per mbit.

Rackspace

We understand that clients with their own secured rackspace will need dedicated, un-escorted access to their equipment 24 hours a day, 365 days a week. We make this possible by including a PAC (proximity access card) FREE with all packages setup within our Kent based network at SOTA in Sittingbourne.

Further proximity access cards can be ordered for additional employees and contractors of your organisation on request for a nominal setup fee which is currently £30 each. Please contact us should you wish to order additional PAC cards.

Rackspace

All of our UK server colocation and dedicated rackspace solutions include a comprehensive SLA that guarantees a minimum availability of power, air conditioning and connectivity. If we fail to meet our guaranteed SLA then we will credit a client’s account in line with our SLA scheduled.

Naturally any pre-planned maintenance windows are exempt from SLA claims but we do, and always will attempt to minimize any disruption caused by routine maintenance by arranging these windows out of hours and giving as much notice by email as possible.
