How to Install Geeklog via Softaculous in cPanel?

1. Log into your cPanel account.

2. In the Software section, click on the Softaculous App Installer Icon.

3.
cPanel will redirect you to the Softaculous Panel.

4. On the left side of your screen, you should locate the Portal/CMS category. Click on it and then click on the Geeklog link that will appear.

5. Click on the Install button.

6. Fill the necessary field, under the Software Setup field:

  • Choose Installation URL: Choose the appropriate protocol/domain. Inside the "In Directory" field, should you want to install this in a directory, i.e., example.com/directory, enter the directory name. Otherwise, leave it blank to install in your main domain, i.e., example.com
  • Data Directory: Leave this as it is.

7. Under Site Settings field:

  • Site Name: Enter the name of your website, such as Geeklog.
  • Site Description: Site Description.

10.
Advanced Options: Leave this as it is unless you want to change the database name or take an automated backup. Please note that taking frequent backups may take a lot of disk space.

Finally, scroll down to the end of the page and click on the Install button.

  • Been here a long time now with a dedicated server. Very good and will be here for the long run. Good service at a great price. Cheers guys!

  • Thanks for your help and support after I got the server, it was working brilliant - well worth the money! Unfortunately we need to downgrade as we no longer need a server of this scale, we may well come back at a later time for a smaller server.

  • I cant recommend RackSRV highly enough! Overall, support is definitely one of RackSRV's many strong points, if you were to single out any one in particular, and this really defined the service for us. Looking forward to renewing our service in future.

  • We've had our sites located on a dedicated Linux server with RackSrv since 2015. The team from RackSRV have always been responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. The hardware and network have been rock solid, quick and exactly what we need.

  • Jon@RackSRV has been great to us, we have a couple of off-net servers with them for backup/DR purposes and have had zero problems. Everything was set up quickly, despite us choosing the wrong options when ordering the server and the prices Jon gave us are fantastic, no-one else could even come near them. I've never...
